About
I'm a post-doc at Duke University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. I also hold a part-time project-scientist position in the physics department at University of California San Diego. My primary area of research is investigation of unique phenomena of Metamaterials, such as Negative Index of Refraction, and how these phenomena can be applied to create interesting or useful devices in the RF, Terahertz, and infrared regions.
As a secondary interest, I study a subclass of non-linear electronics known as memory-circuits. The most well known of these is the memristor (short for memory-resistor), which has generated recent excitement due to the possibility it could facilitate analog neuromorphic circuits that behave in a way similar to our own biological brains.
