Ryan Jablonski is a doctoral candidate in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, as well as Research Scholar at the Laboratory on International Law and Regulation. His research focuses on international political economy issues affecting the developing world, including the politics of foreign aid, the manipulation of elections, and the economics of maritime piracy. His dissertation addresses the role of patronage in foreign aid distribution using a variety of cross-national and sub-national analyses.

Mr. Jablonski received a B.A. in International Relations from Seattle Pacific University and a M.A. from the University of California, San Diego. Before coming to San Diego, Mr. Jablonski spent three years in a variety of data analysis and software development positions for Microsoft and other Fortune 500 corporations.
