About
My research agenda focuses on how the details of political institutions affect the quality of democratic governance. My specific interests are in electoral systems and the constitutional design of executive–legislative relations.
At UCSD, I hold a joint appoinment in the Department of Political Science and the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies. In the spring and summer of 2010, I was a Visiting Professor and Lady Davis Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
