Jay Lemke is adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication and Senior Research Scientist in the Laboratory of Comparative Human Cognition at UCSD; adjunct  Professor, School of Education, University of Michigan, and Professor Emeritus, City University of New York (Brooklyn College and CUNY Graduate Center, PhD Program in Urban Education). His current research focuses on the unity of feeling and meaning in the analysis of activity and new media. He is well-known for earlier work in Science Education and in Discourse Analysis.
